Bleaching Photographs

I am feeling so excited this weekend! My friend, Minnie came up Friday evening to do a new project with Gail & I. We pulled out a bunch of old photos & we BLEACHED them & then added watercolors & crayons for a splash of additional color. Gail did one that I was absolutely astounded by. See the picture of the bird on the scenery background. How beautiful is that?? The tipi was done by Minnie & the trolley car by me. This is the first thing I've done for a long time that has excited me like this project. I love altering photographs! I thank Minnie so much for sharing her very valuable time to teach us this wonderful process.
Happy Sunday!

Oh Diane,
These are lovely. Gail's piece with the bird is striking.

I'd love to hear a little about the process, I've never heard of bleaching photos.

We just had a bout a foot of snow! BURRR

Hi Diane
That photo looks like magic happened to it.
It is beautiful. Its AWSOME!
That would look so beautiful blown up into a large picture to put on the wall.
Moms think it would be fun to learn to do that. No wonder your excited, your making magic happen, and I love looking at your magic.

I love these and the ones you did in the next post! I read about it in the same book. I wish there was a way to do this to printer pictures. It just looks so cool.
