Good Tuesday morning! I am having a lot of fun with this journal! I finished this page yesterday. I used stencils from Stencil Girl & Crafters Corner. The image is from Deviant Scrap & there's some acrylic paint & washi tape at the bottom. The page is 9x12 in size.
For any of you that know Tweedles (the sweet little Pug girl) please keep her in your prayers. She is having some major health issues. Her link is: http://tweedles-georgie.blogspot.com/ if you'd like to stop by & wish her well.
Good Monday morning! I've been in my journal this weekend & having some fun!
I've posted two pages with the heart page being the most recent. This is a Dylusions journal
& the pages are 9x12, so it's fairly large. The face in the heart is part of a stencil collection by Jane Davenport. These are both done with stencil layering, acrylic paint, ink & rub-ons. Have a great week!
Good afternoon! I'm a bit late today. This is another page from my Dylusions Journal. I used stencils & acrylic paint as well as a few stickers. The image was from Deviant Scrap. They have wonderful collage elements.
Wishing you all a happy Wednesday!
Good morning! It's been a few months since I have posted & I am making an effort to try & get my blog up & running again.
Today I have a couple of journal pages I did about 3 months ago. It's inside a 9x12 Dylusions journal. I absolutely love this journal!
Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Happy Tuesday! I have finally started my Spray Journal class. The class is through http://creativeworkshops.ning.com/ with Martha Lever. I am really enjoying it! Not only does she cover a large journal (9x12) but also teaches us how to make these mini journals. These start with a sheet (22x30) of watercolor paper. You just stamp randomly over the sheet. When you're done...you cut or tear the pages that eventually form into this smaller journal (5x7). The pages are actually glued in the book but I think ifI did another one I will try & tie the pages with a ribbon or something else other than glue. Hope you all have a great week!
Good Saturday morning! I believe I am ready for my Spray Journal Class....finally! I am one that does not like to be limited by a small selection. I want to buy every cute stencil I see! Some of these are from Stencil Girl & some from The Crafters Workshop. I love them both!
Next week I hope I am posting some pages from this new journal.
Have a wonderful & creative weekend!
Hello Everyone....It is almost too hot to even make art! I have a couple of journal pages here I did a couple of weeks ago. I have been gathering new stencils for my Spray Journal class. I am taking some pics of those & I will share them in my next post. The art supplies available today are just amazing!
I hope you're all staying cool this summer....Peace & Love...
Good Saturday morning! I have been going between ATCs & journal pages. I also signed up for yet another journal class called Lollapalooza 2 with Martha Lever. It is a spray journal. I just love the sound of that! I hope you're all creating some magic this weekend....ENJOY!
Good morning! Tuesday is upon us & my bit of Art Abandonment last week made me switch gears. I forgot how much I love making ATC's!
Here are three new ones which I will probably abandon down the road. They are so easy as they are nice & small I am going to make a point to abandon art at least one time every month. I simply love the feeling!
Good morning! I became part of an Art Abandonment group on Facebook a while back. I finally got around to abandoning some ATC's yesterday. I put 3 cards out with the printed message on the back of each. I did this with my sister about 2 or 3 years ago in Seattle & received a very nice note from a Starbucks' executive that happened to find one of the cards. These cards went to the library, post office & outdoor cafe tables. I just love this idea! Hope you all have a great weekend!
Happy Tuesday! Wow...2 posts within one week...I am improving! I am posting a couple more journal pages. These are a combination of paint, rub-ons & rubber stamps. I am having a great time with this too! Wishing you all a wonderful, creative week!
Good Saturday morning! It's been quite some time since I have posted but I've been having a lot of fun lately with journal pages. I am posting 5 recent pages today. They are done with acrylic paint, rubber stamps, rub-ons & some assorted paper. I hope all is going well with all my blogging friends & that you all have a great weekend! Now I am off to visit a few blogs!
Good morning everyone. I am running a bit behind with posting again. My back has been aching a bit so that put my painting on hold. Feeling better now & ready for a new week! I've posted my latest painting which is on a 16x20 canvas. I am really enjoying this! Hope you all have a wonderful week.
Happy New Year! 2013 is here & time for new challenges. This is my 3rd painting I did on Monday.
It is on a 8x10 inch canvas. I tried a little something different over on the left side using a syringe to enhance the look & texture a bit with some black paint. This is my favorite piece so far.
I hope you all have a wonderful & creative new year......
Good Monday morning! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas & that you're all set for the New Year! I am trying something new & totally out of my comfort zone....some painting. Since becoming involved with Pinterest I have fallen in love with abstract painting...so in love that I had to take a shot at it. The first photo (on top) is my 2nd piece & the lower photo was my first. I am really enjoying it & hoping the more I paint the better I will become.
Are you thinking of branching out & trying some new art form this next year? I'd love to hear about it! Happy New Year!
Happy Friday! Looks like a nice day today..with lots of sunshine.
My picture this morning is one from Barcelona. This was across from our
little apartment we stayed in there. I messed with some different backgrounds & masks from http://shadowhousecreations.blogspot.com/. I worked with different layers, hues & opacity.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Good morning! I am staying with a peace & love theme this week. We certainly need MORE of both!
I have taken to photographing my clothes now....such a weirdo! I fell hopelessly in love with street art on my recent trip to Spain & I just can't seem to get enough of it. Hunted all over Ebay for street art t-shirts & this is one of the two that I found..Charlie Chaplin. I mixed it up in PSE a bit tweeking color & opacity. I was pleased with the end result.
Wishing you all a great Tuesday!
Greetings! This morning I am posting a PSE Buddha piece. It's been a crazy & violent week. I thought I would share a Buddha quote today.
HATRED DOES NOT CEASE BY HATRED, BUT ONLY BY LOVE.
THIS IS THE ETERNAL RULE....BUDDAH
Happy Wednesday! I put aside a little time yesterday for my Photoshop Class & this is what I came up with. A beautiful flower image manipulated a bit in PSE with a grunge mask added. The mask was a freebie from http://shadowhousecreations.blogspot.com/. He has some great grunge sets among other textured backgrounds. Hope you all have a wonderful day!
Good morning! I have a new image transfer today I did recently for a birthday present. These are my very good friends for many years...mother & daughter!
Mother, Ursina is here from Oregon visiting with her daughter, Deborah. I shot this pic one day when we went out to lunch & made a birthday gift for Deborah. It turned out very nice. It is 6x8 in size & I used Sheer Heaven for the image transfer. I am on to some more candy making today..Oreo truffles!
What a quick weekend & Monday is upon us! Had a lot of fun this weekend helping some friends make tamales for Christmas. This was only my 2nd time at this & it had been MANY years since I made them before.
For some reason...it didn't seem quite as hard this time. The best part was they were kind enough to send a nice big bag of tamales home with me. That is a treat we don't have that often. We ended up making 9 1/2 dozen all beef tamales & I am looking pretty pleased with the end result! Next weekend...time for the pork! Mexican food is my VERY favorite! Have a great week everyone!
Good morning! I started back on my PSE class I signed up for earlier this year. Fortunately for me...the class is there whenever I have the time to work on it. It is through the http://creativeworkshops.ning.com/ & the class is called Down & Dirty the Digital Way with Gail Schmidt. I think this is one of my two favorite art projects. I have a real soft spot for image transfers & photoshop elements! Love them both! Happy Thursday to all!
Happy Monday everyone! It's been a wet weekend here & such a pleasant change. Everything smells so nice & feels so clean..I love it.
Today's piece is a freebie image from http://morguefile.com/ or http://pdphoto.org/. I don't recall which site it came from. The background was a free texture from a Flickr group. I went through layers upon layers to achieve this final look. I really love the photo & the beautiful blue dress she's wearing. Ok....I am off to blog hop now & I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead.
Good morning & happy Friday! I believe I have some of my artistic juices flowing again. I spent a few hours yesterday altering some photos & had a great time. I didn't realize how much I have missed it all. This piece is a free image from morguefile.com (I believe it was) & the background is a freebie from a Flickr background group. I went through many different layers in PSE to achieve this look. Wishing you all a productive & creative weekend!
Good morning everyone! This is my first post in 6 months! I can't believe I've let my blog go for so long! I am making the rounds today & will attempt to stay in touch. I've become so involved with Facebook & Pinterest that my blog has unfortunately taken a back seat. I have a couple of PSE creations today...the bottom pic is from my trip to Spain in April. I just love the shot with the man & his dog! I hope you're all well & ready for the holiday season!
Good morning everyone. Yes...it's been three months since I have posted & I am surprised I still have people following me! There's just been so much to do that art has taken a back burner (I hate that thought!)
First off the Spain trip was over the top wonderful. There is a Flickr link on my blog you may click on if you have time to look through. I just couldn't stop my camera finger. I shot 2500+ pictures! It was an amazing experience....my first trip to Europe!
I broke down this weekend & signed up for another Photoshop class on line. I know once I start dipping back into some art I will be on a roll again. In the meantime....I messed with some http://www.befunky.com/ & that's how I did these pics of Cooper & his Mama.
I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial day & a great week in store!
Good morning everyone! This morning I have a PSE piece I did a couple of weeks ago. The image was a freebie from another blog & the background is one of my own. I was pleased with the end result as I LOVE bright colors!
2 weeks from today....I will be in Barcelona Spain & I am extremely excited. My little camera will be working overtime! Can't wait to share it with all of you! Happy Monday.
Good morning everyone! I have a little Photoshop picture I did over the weekend. First off...I have to say how much I love http://morguefile.com/!
They have so many free images to work with & most of the time don't require a link back to them if you use one of their images. I had no eyeball pics of my own so this came in perfectly! I am about 25 days away from my Barcelona Spain trip & I am getting so excited. I will have tons of pics when I return.
Hope you all have a wonderful week!
