The Beginning of Yard Art

Today...it's yard art. My sister, Gail is visiting from Washington & she did a little yard art class for me. Gail took this class in Washington originally with Julia Jae at http://blackdoorstudio.blogspot.com/ . We had so much fun with these. You simply collect some cute dishes (glass not plastic)& make your arrangement. Your arrangement is attached with liquid nails. Once it sets, you attach the arrangement to a metal pole that has a flat slug (round flat metal piece)attached. You also attach to the actual pole using liquid nails also. Once everything is set good, you place them in the yard. How cute are these? I will be posting a few more in a couple of days. Happy Father's Day to all the great dads out there!

These are wonderful. Just a bit fragile and whimsical and I bet so pretty in both the rain and the sunshine. Thanks so much for posting about them.

I just realized after reading this post that the reason you want metal posts is because of the Liquid Nails. I have seen these DRILLED with long screws into driftwood stakes. maria
